New Recruiting Resource For Students and Employers Worldwide
Brookline, MA (March 5, 1999) - On March 15, CampusCareerCenter.com (CCC) Worldwide will
launch a wide range of online recruiting services to help students and companies conduct highly targeted global, job and internship
searches. Created with input from students, employers, and university career counselors, CampusCareerCenter.com unites the global
academic and corporate communities to make the worldwide employment search a more efficient and convenient experience.
Sheri Lockshin, a University of California/ Berkeley Career Services Director, recently remarked "The job market for international
students is hot… An increasing number of multinational corporations are seeking international students for their operations in
various parts of the world. (But a)…student trying to manage an international job search is in for a major challenge. There is no
obvious link to the job market, no centralized source of information on job openings, no consensus on competition and often no source
of funding for the increased cost of an international career search…" To meet this unfilled need, CCC has built an interactive web
site (CampusCareerCenter.com) and created a suite of worldwide recruiting
solutions.
Under the direction of Gary Geraci (Worldwide Student Liaison), CCC has created a worldwide association of university Career Centers
and international student organizations. The company refers to this online academic association as The Global Campus Recruiting
Network. Through a grassroots campus marketing initiative, Geraci expects thousands of undergraduate and graduate students with
varying academic backgrounds to visit the site.
CCC's site is provided to students at no charge. Companies can choose from an array of options in order to access The Global Campus
Recruiting NetworkTM to compete in the worldwide recruitment of top candidates. Multinationals such as Oracle, Reebok
International, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and Principal Financial have already enlisted the services of CCC Worldwide.
Matt Casey, President of CCC Worldwide says: "For students we've created a user-friendly, point and click web site and database
system to break down the imposing barriers of time and space that once complicated the global job search. For companies,
CampusCareerCenter.com is a valuable resource for more efficient and cost effective campus recruitment. Our services help companies
recruit in one specific geographic area or multiple regions that span several continents. Our interactive services give employers an
edge by connecting them with candidates having the skill-sets and geographic backgrounds that are vital to competing in the New World
economy."
