CampusCareerCenter.com receives $1.2 million in first round funding from European VC firm
Cambridge, MA (March 6, 2000) - CampusCareerCenter.com (CCC), which provides recruiting
services enabling companies to source students for worldwide employment, recently received $1.2 million in financing from
Fountainhead, a Belgian Venture Capital Firm, in exchange for Series A preferred equity. As a part of the deal, Fountainhead has the
right to invest an additional $1,000,000 through October 16, 2000.
Fountainhead is a fund focused on making investments in the educational and career space internationally. The recent investment in
CCC, underscores Fountainhead's commitment in making highly targeted investments in young Internet companies favorably positioned to
benefit from globalization. The Fountainhead investment portfolio is advised by Magnus Nilsson, a director of AB Novestra (www.novestra.com), a Swedish VC firm with a focus on Internet related investments. Mr.
Nilsson, either as a director, advisor, or investor, has been actively involved with companies such as EF Education (global education
services), E*Trade Sweden (online trading), Academic Search International (a European recruiting company), Boxman (Europe's largest
e-tailor for CD's), and FramFab (a European web agency).
