Role Summary/Purpose Design and develop detailed electrical designs for Magnetic Resonance Imaging Radio Frequency (MRI RF) Coils from initiation through Product Release.
Essential Responsibilities -Create, prototype and develop Next Generation MR coil designs. Drive new product introductions and provide design support for existing products.
-Utilize state-of-the-art electromagnetic design tools / CAD in the simulation and analysis of complex radio frequency structures.
-Work cross-functionally to meet Customer "Critical-to-Quality" deliverables.
-Work cross-functionally with sourcing to set up and qualify supply chain.
-Responsibilities will include all phases of new product programs, customer interfacing, manufacturing introduction and supplier interfacing.
-Verification and validation testing of the MR coil products.
-Driving safety and compliance test planning and execution.
Qualifications/Requirements -MS in biomedical engineering, EE, medical physics or other related area or equivalent foreign degree.
-A minimum 1 year experience as RF engineer, research assistant, or graduate assistant, to include radio frequency/MR coils and MRI/medical imaging.
-Strong Electro-magnetic field theory background / Quantum Mechanics related to NMR / MR.
-Skilled in circuit analysis and field simulation CAD (eg HFSS / ADS)
-Demonstrated project leadership skills.
-Demonstrated supplier and manufacturing interface skills.
-Willing to submit to a background investigation and drug screen.
