University Bedford Medical Center is a 110-bed private, non-profit, full service, acute-care community hospital. Services include a 24-hour emergency department, intensive/medical/surgical care units, a state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center and a newly renovated women's services unit for obstetrics and gynecology. In addition, the hospital offers a wide-range of diagnostic services, rehabilitative services, somnoplasty, plastic surgery, orthopedics, midwifery services, as well as educational programming for the community.

University Hospitals Bedford Medical Center continues to fulfill its mission To Heal, to Nurture, and to Promote Health through the provision of high quality services as evidenced through high ratings by credentialing and licensing agencies and insurers, through increased services and innovative community services.

Community Relations
The Senior Network, an organization formed by the hospital, now coordinates Senior health initiatives with 58 community Senior Centers and agencies serving the elderly. Other outreach initiatives include the Nursing Home organization and the Office Managers Association.

Outpatient Center
University Hospitals Bedford Medical Center provides high quality inpatient and outpatient surgical services. Surgical specialties include General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology (ENT), Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Thoracic and Urology. Additional services include Gastroenterology and Pain Management.
