The Director of Development for Regional Hospitals (Harris Methodist/Arlington) will be responsible for all hospital fundraising activities for Harris Methodist hospital entities except THFW and for Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, as well as supporting the THR comprehensive campaign. The Director will have limited responsibilities for Texas Health Alliance Hospital. Hospitals supported by this position include TH Harris Methodist Hospitals in Southwest Fort Worth, HEB, Azle, Cleburne, and Stephenville, as well as TH Arlington Memorial Hospital. This position works closely with each hospital administration to identify fundraising priorities and secure support for said priorities.
The Director will carry a portfolio of prospective philanthropic donors with a focus on raising major gifts for the hospitals noted above. As appropriate, the Director will also manage prospects for THRís system-wide strategic objectives. This position will oversee discrete, time-sensitive fundraising projects, focusing on prospecting, cultivating, and soliciting or positioning hospital and THR leadership to solicit philanthropic gifts. This position will work closely with fellow development officers throughout the foundation to determine the most appropriate donor-driven strategies for raising gifts. The Director will maintain records of all cultivation strategies, evaluations, solicitations, and results of contacts with prospects.
Annually, the Director will be expected to meet or exceed fundraising metrics developed by the Foundation Presidents. The Presidents will meet with the Director quarterly to review progress toward stated metrics.

Required Minimum Education: Bachelorís Degree
Required Minimum Experience: Minimum 3 years major gifts fundraising experience, preferably in healthcare environment.
Required license/certification: None
Required skills (if applicable): Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications; excellent written and verbal skills; ability to work independently; ability to articulate an organizational mission and impact of philanthropy in advancing that mission; demonstrated experience in working with high net-worth individuals.

Responsibilities:

1) Cultivate potential major (and principal) gift prospects through one-on-one meetings, through special group events with the hospital, through involvement in volunteer opportunities and through other engagement strategies.

2) Solicit prospects for gifts to regional hospitals, either via one-on-one contacts, in concert with a key hospital/THR volunteer, or with involvement of hospital/THR leadership.

3) Ensure that prospects making gift commitments receive appropriate stewardship and recognition via reports, pledge reminders, and other appropriate follow-up; prepare (in partnership with Director of Donor Relations) appropriate reports and follow-up correspondence for meetings and contact with major gift prospects.

4) Identify and qualify THR community members for the purpose of determining if they have the financial ability, capacity and interest in making a major gift to supported hospitals.

5) Document all donor visits and correspondence via the use of contact reports
