Texas Health Resources System Services seeks an Application Systems Analyst II (IS). The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS / Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years college coursework.
3-5 years IS applications experience

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelors degree preferred
Healthcare experience preferred
HL7/Interface knowledge preferred

Position:

This position will be responsible for new development/support/maintenance and system analysis and design- primarily supporting HIM systems/ StreamLine Health System. They will develop detailed, accurate, complete, cost-effective and resource-conservative design solutions that cleanly integrate with existing products and provide an easy path for future enhancements, by examining all possible courses of action and displaying sound logic and reasoning to arrive at an optimum solution with general supervision.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Solving system problems and issues in a timely and accurate manner with little or no supervision
Updating appropriate ticket system by either using the Problem Severity Matrix Standards or Request Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Being familiar with and follows the ITS Change Management process
Coordinating program and/or data moves from development to test/education and production regions working independently
Reviewing Knowledge Base Documentation periodically, updating as needed
Producing accurate program code consistent with the design. This includes adhering to programming and subsystem standards, properly structured programming techniques, well documented internally and externally, and free from code, data and documentation side effects.
Developing and implementing complete and accurate structured system acceptance test and installation plans
Executing testing and documents the results
Developing/Updating appropriate Service Desk documentation for change
Monitoring system performance statistics to ensure the changes perform within standards
Developing design documents that indentifies the following; major development objective, describes system assumptions and constraints, specifies user-oriented system requirements, identifies major hardware and software components, describes key files and data elements, identifies input and output specifications, screen and report layouts, defines program-to-program and system-to-system flows and system controls including error detection and correction procedures, security and privacy specifications and auditing provisions, and includes volume estimates to project the overall impact on the computer system
Providing accurate project resource estimates and dates with general supervision.

Hours:

1st Shift, Mon-Fri, 8AM 5PM during core business hours, some rotating on call hours
