Qualifications:/Duties
Texas Health Denton is seeking a Vascular / Cardiac Sonographer N/R PRN. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualificaitons:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS / Requirements:

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound training program
Required Certification: Certified or Registered Vascular Tech (RVT) or (RVS)
and/or Certified or Registered echocardiography (ARDMS or eligible). BLS
Required Experience: 1 year experience (in addition to clinical internships)
Required Skills: Perform peripheral vascular testing and scanning.
Perform adult and pediatriac echocardiography.
Typing, computer skills, medical terminology

Position:

This positions daily duties will be as follows, but not limtied to:
Transport equipment and patients for ultrasound procedures in a safe and efficient manner
Perform scans with competence, safety and care
Verify video/audio recording is proper and complete
Notify ordering physicians of severly abnormal tests in a timely manner
Input orders for tests, complete order for charging purposes
Maintain patient log
Clean, disinfect and maintain ultrasound equipment
Stock supplies, linen and equipment
Document all tests performed during the shift
Place test results in patient charts, answer phones, maintain schedule of outpatients, organize and archieve tests
Respond promptly to call backs
Transmit pedi/neonate studies to appropriate receiving physician, verify transmission on receipt of study
Notify and document physicians of pending studies to be read

Hours:

Variable Shifts to fill in for sick, vacations, Care connect training and take call occasionally
