Infusion RN

Per Visit Various CPR Required Driver's License and Auto Insurance required Licensure Required two or more relevant experience Delivers safe, therapeutic patient care through use of the nursing process. Provides intermittent, skilled home visits to a group of patients under the direction of the Home Care Nurse Case Manager or the Nursing Supervisor. Provides routine assessments of patient status as well as holistic, admission assessments, specified nursing treatments and patient/family education. Complies with Home Health Agency policies and procedures. Reports to Infusion Clinical Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.

Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of vascular system and its interrelatedness to other body systems. Proficiency in: -Starting/maintaining patency of peripheral IV's. -Knowledge of and ability to care for central venous access devices (CVAD). -Blood drawing from CVAD. -Knowledge of TJC, Federal, and State regulatory standards

Skills: Ability to exercise independent judgment. Organized in approach to work accomplishment and meeting time requirements. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with varied persons including patients, families, home care staff, physicians and administrators. Understanding and ability to apply principles of teaching and learning to patients with varied abilities and needs. Safe, competent and therapeutic hands-on nursing skills required. A high degree of flexibility and the ability to establish priorities. Ability to ensure confidentiality of patient information.

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.: Current licensure in the jurisdiction in which he/she functions, Current CPR certification. Valid Maryland driver's license, current auto insurance and a working vehicle. Must agree to comply with Maryland law for mandatory seat belt use.

Work Experience: Experience with one or more in Oncology, Critical Care, Surgical Specialty

THIS POSITION WILL PROVIDE COVERAGE FOR CHARLES, CALVERT, AND ST MARY'S COUNTIES IN SOUTHERN MARYLAND.
