Job Function

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano seeks to hire a Director of Cardiopulmonary Services. The ideal candidate will be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the hospital and department, and will possess the following qualifications:

-Bachelor's required. Current/Active BLS certification and RRT with Texas licensure.

-A minimum of three years clinical and/or three years progressive managerial duties in an acute-care hospital setting required.

-Budgeting, computer operations, financial planning, continuous improvement and quality control duties, human resource management.
The above areas are specific to:

Creates and manages the operating and capital budgets for assigned departments.

Plan, organize, and delegate activities as required for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of assigned departments including active participation with other hospital and leadership staff to accomplish this objective.

Effectively provides leadership among department staff, between departments involved with our services, and between physicians with departments.

Leadership in the development of qualifications for patient care providers and/or other staff as required, taking action as necessary to provide an adequate level of qualified staff.

Implements an ongoing process to measure, assess and improve business, clinical and service outcomes based on standards of care, patient safety concepts, industry research findings, and applicable benchmarks.

Collaborate with all customer groups (patients, department/hospital staff, physicians and other internal/external customer groups, as appropriate for the department services) to understand and prioritize customer expectations.

Establish priorities for department/program growth and enhancement based on identified needs, current dept outcomes, research findings, and / or industry trends.

Serve as administrative relief for staffing in critical needs and disaster situations.
