The schedule will be 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology is required.

Current BLS and ACLS.

Current RCIS and/or ARRT credential.

1+ year directly-related experience as a Cardiovascular Special Procedures Tech role is required.

Demonstrates adequate skills in all forms of communication.

Works well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Exhibits specific attitudes, sense of ownership, and ensures departmental
commitment to service excellence.

Must be able to wear protective lead apron (+/- 20 lbs) for extended period of time and must be able to lift 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing 25 pounds.


Proficient in the scrub, hemodynamic monitor and circulator roles with diagnostic left/ right heart procedures, permanent arrhythmia device insertion and invasive special procedures.

Proficient in the scrub, hemodynamic monitor and circulator roles with coronary and peripheral interventional procedures.

Proficient in the theory, technical specifications, setup and operation of the following: Vascular sheath removal, Oxicom blood saturation analysis, ACT testing, IABP and console, Pressure wire, IVUS, AngioJet, digital subtraction techniques, Power Injector, temporary pacemaker placement, Closure devices, Infusion pumps, Life Pack 12 operation w/ defib hands free and paddles.

Billing correctly, charging and procedure documentation at the MAC-IT.

Technical specifications of disposable products and inventory.

Proficient with Accudose use and medications needed for tech preparation of procedures.

Digital Archive System usage including maintenance and producing CD copies of the digital record.

Record keeping of digital archive system and cine number logbook.

Commitment to learn new technologies, devices and procedures.

Routinely obtain department communication via email and attendance of staff meetings.

Complies with and is knowledgeable of hospital and department safety procedures and policies.

Contributes to the care of the environment by maintaining work areas and assisting with housekeeping tasks as needed.

Is knowledgeable of and participates in the hospitalís performance improvement program.

Utilizes computer system as needed for information and to complete tasks.

Maintains customers rights (confidentiality, privacy, safety, security, and decision making).

Interacts with customers, who may include patients, physicians, co-workers, vendors and visitors, in a manner that exemplifies the hospitalís mission and core values.

Attends in-services, department meetings, and other training sessions relative to job.

Is knowledgeable of and adheres to hospital and department procedures and policies.

Adapts easily to changes in work assignment and environment.

Performs basic tasks in a timely manner with minimum guidance and supervision.

Demonstrates willingness to work toward department and hospital goals and objectives.
