Texas Health Resource System Services seeks an Admin Data Warehouse III. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS / Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare/Business or related field is required
3+ years direct experience in healthcare data analysis with experience in COGNOS or equivalent Dashboard reporting package.
Expertise in analysis, data management, facilitation and project management needed
Strong knowledge of clinical application systems, statistics, and advanced computer skills are required
Working knowledge of data collection, aggregation, and display techniques are required
Advanced interpersonal skills along with the ability to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing is required
Must be able to organize, prioritize, and demonstrate excellent time management skills

Preferred Requirements:

Master's Degree is preferable
BSN in nursing preferred

Position:

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Collaboration with Patient Safety / Risk Management and multi-disciplinary HIPI group and PUPI group addressing Pressure Ulcer Prevention: includes meeting attendance, development of a methodology to identify and quantify both present on Admission and hospital-acquired pressure ulcers, performance of a review of current literature related to pressure ulcer measurement, and identification of areas on which to focus further efforts, collaboration with CareConnect report builders to develop a usable workbench report and a Clarity report to capture nurse-documented pressure ulcers.
Collaboration with PUPI representatives from non-CareConnect entities to develop a means of collecting nurse documented pressure ulcer data prior to their conversion to CareConnect.
Collaboration with Performance Improvement and multidisciplinary HIPI group addressing VTE Risk Assessment and Treatment - including literature review, meeting attendance, consultation on data collection methodology and population identification, and report preparation/creation.
Active team member of the Baldridge Application Development process. Area of responsibility involves provision of information related to the way in which THR manages organizational knowledge.
In depth review/research of literature related to focus area.
Participation in all meetings and/or workgroups.
Data collection related to focus area.
Assist with development of application draft.
Team lead for creation and validation of Patient Safety Indicator reports for each of the 13 entities and the system based on observational data submitted on a quarterly basis after collection at the entities.
Ad-Hoc responsibilities to include one-time report generation, as well as participation in data validation process with other CI-DAm team members.
Report preparation and distribution.

Hours:

Schedule will be 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
