MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Schedule will be 2:30pm-11:00pm, Monday-Friday.

Must be registered by the ARRT with CT credentials and licensed by the state.

3+ years direct clinical experience in a hospital Radiology Department is required.

1+ year supervisory experience preferred.

Must possess excellent communication skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to make independent decisions while maintaining tact, maturity and a positive attitude.

Initiative and judgement required in assuming responsibilities. Ability to lead and motivate.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs daily operations of Radiology/Computed Tomography (CT) including assignment of personnel and procurement of supplies and necessary equipment maintenance.

Requires ability to communicate using listening, writing and verbal skills.

Requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Requires the ability to prioritize assignments.

Requires knowledge of procedures utilized to procure supplies and equipment maintenance.

Requires lifting or supporting patients to include bending and reaching.

May perform duties of Radiographer, CT, Ultrasound or Special Procedures Technologist as necessary.

Transports patients as necessary according to established protocols.

Incorporates the National Patient Safety Goals including but not limited to improving the accuracy of patient identification, improving the effectiveness of communication among caregivers along with improving the effectiveness of the clinical alarm system.

Requires the ability to communicate using listening, writing and verbal skills.

Requires basic knowledge of human anatomy and principles of radiographic positioning, techniques and radiation protections.

Supervises technical and support staff for maintenance of prescribed standards.

Responsible for technical assessment of employees. This includes initial departmental orientation, completion of the PBDS assessment tool and annual reassessments.

Requires knowledge of aforementioned standards. Requires ability to communicate using listening, writing and verbal skills.

Adapts care measures to reflect age-specific and developmental considerations.

With guidance and approval of Director of Radiology - evaluates and counsels personnel as necessary.

Requires ability to communicate through listening, writing and verbal skills.

Requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Requires knowledge and understanding of CI principles and techniques.

Approves time-off requests with direction from Radiology Director.

Is responsible for adequate staffing of all shifts of the Radiology Department.

May perform routine clerical duties and ensures adequate stock of supplies.
