Texas Health Resources System Services - Arlington seeks a Network Engineer III (IS). The ideal candidate possess the following qualifications / skills:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS / Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma
CERTIFICATION(S): CCNP or CCSP or CCVP or CCIE
Experience : 10 years IS related experience working with operating systems, systems software and management tools and hardware.
Skills: Proficient at PC, MS Office
Ability to communicate verbally and written.
Ability to independently diagnose problems and implement solutions.

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited university
Healthcare experience preferred.

Position:

The scope of this position will be to support systems with high complexity. They will be responsible for understanding unique details of assigned systems, working closely with users, DBAs and application administrators on upgrades and problem resolutions and provide incident and change ticket second level support. They will perform complex system upgrades for both software and hardware, performance tuning , in addition to, shell scripting for complex procedure automation.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Performs routine support and maintenance of assigned systems
Solves system problems and issues in a timely and accurate manner
Updates appropriate ticket system using either the Problem Severity Matrix Standards or Request Service
Reviews Knowledge Base Documentation periodically and updates as needed
Produce accurate system and procedural documentation consistent with the system architectural design
Develops, executes and implements complete and accurate structured system acceptance test and migration plans
Monitors system performance statistics to ensure the changes perform within standards

Hours:

1st Shift, Monday Friday, 8AM to 5PM
Available as needed for on call after hours and weekends.
