MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION IS ONLY BUDGETED THROUGH DECEMEBER 2011 ***

Schedule will be Monday-Friday, 1:00pm - 9:30pm.

Associates degree in HIM, Management, or Computer Science preferred; other degrees or related coursework considered based on relevant work experience. (** Strongly prefer RHIT or RHIA. )

3+ years experience in Health Information Services, Patient Access, Business Office or Project Management is required.

Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with clerical, technical, managerial and senior level staff.

Strong analytical and computer skills. Must be able to determine root causes for data integrity issues.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain integrity of enterprise-wide Master Patient Index (EAD / MPI) for Invision Gold and the EMPI for CareConnect.

Develop and maintain systems for identifying individuals with duplicate medical record numbers, social security numbers, and patient identifiers.

Knowles gable and proficient in the utilization of CareConnect, Invision Gold-Patient Management, Patient Accounting, Enterprise Access Directory (EAD), MediTech, and Siemens Imaging.

Ability to research/resolve each issue identified in the Pre-Conversion Data Clean-Up Project.

Function as an integral team members of the Pre-Conversion Data Clean-Up Project.

Collaborating with other team members to maintain the organization, prioritization and thorough/timely completion of the data collection tool which facilitates the resolution / correction of the identified errors.

Provides updates to team members or ITS requestors.

Assists in the resolution of outstanding project elements, resolve outstanding issues to ensure that the project is completed ahead of schedule or by the agreed upon end date.

Ability to process each identified issues within 6.5 minutes.

Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for Pre-Conversion Data Clean-Up Project.

Develop new policies and procedures for new/modified software applications (ie: Meditech) as it relates to the established processes of maintaining the integrity of the data in the MPI / EMPI.

Review procedures with Manager and at least 1 staff member to test the accuracy and understanding of the procedure.

Provide training for Pre-Conversion Clean-Up Project Team, other entity DI staff and HIM Department as required/requested.

Schedule training, provide training materials, onduct/assist with training, and conduct competencies to validate knowledge/understanding and effectiveness of training / training materials.

Assists project team members with the resolution of issues identified by the Pre-Conversion Clean-Up Project.

Assist entity DI staff by answering questions, training and resolving issues.

Attends Project Meetings at THD or other entity locations to learn entity specifics, train on specific applications, train other entity DI staff and resolve issues affecting the project.
