Full Time: 40 hours per week
Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm with rotating weekends.

Minimum Education Requirements:
Required - High School Graduate or G.E.D.

Preferred - Additional coursework (obtained from an accreditation program in Health Information Management , Medical Terminology, Information Systems, Coding, Management Team Building.

Minimum Experience Requirements:
Required - 2 years clerical experience in a health care environment and /or office setting (such as patient Access, Information Systems, Business Office, Health Information Management, and/or Project Management); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred - Additional training/experience with the following programs: Invision, Access Anywhere, Care Connect, 3M, MRS, Cerner, and/or Mysis.

Minimum Skill Requirements:
Must type a minimum of 45 wpm and 10 key with a minimum of 6000 keystrokes per hour. Must demonstrate the ability to create, edit, and format Microsoft Word documents, including ability to use the toolbars and templates to advantage. Must demonstrate the ability to create, edit and format Microsoft Excel documents, including auto-sum, sorting and basic formula functions. Must demonstrate the ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook, including appointment and calendar features and creation of distribution lists. Must possess the ability to multitask and prioritize duties as needed. Must possess the ability to apply established policies, procedures, CMS standards, as well as Medical Staff Rules and Regulations.

1. Analyze Medicus/Invision interface error reports, unbilled account reports, medical records, and databases to determine what problems exist.
2. Generate and print appropriate reports and documents to aid in analysis.
3. Correct errors and resolve issues by adding, deleting, changing, or moving patient information in the Medicus and Invision databases. Document corrections made using Invision System notes.
4. Follow up on corrections to verify that the identified issues) are resolved.
5. Initiate and update logs, including Excel spreadsheets.
6. Provide information to Nursing, Admitting, Financial Administrators, and others to communicate issues and document progress.
7. Communicate with Users, Department Heads, and Administration through distribution o documented findings.
8. Refer cases to the Utilization Management Reviewer when appropriate to bring about a resolution.
9. Identify cases which need attention from other departments such as the Business Office, Admitting, and Information Systems.
10. Communicate problems, trends, and database changes through presentations at Quality Committee meetings and other meetings, as appropriate.
11. Maintain filing systems (numeric, alphabetic, date, and combination). Maintain patient charts.
12. .Handle and respond to incoming mail, email, and telephone requests.
13. Locate, route and file charts in appropriate areas, and check charts in/out of chart tracking system.
