Texas Health Resources, one of the largest faith-based nonprofit health care delivery systems in the United States, has an immediate need for an Application System Analyst III. The qualified candidate will have the following.

Bachelors degree required.

6 years IS applications experience, healthcare integration preferred. Abilities in healthcare integration - HL7 protocol through use of IBM's ESB for Healthcare tools. A background in WebSphere Message Broker (WMB), WebSphere Message Queueing (WMQ), Java, UNIX, TCP/IP, SNA-LU6.2 and flat file conversions.

Advanced MicroSoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)


Performs routine support of assigned system working independently.
Solves system problems and issues in a timely and accurate manner working independently.
Is responsive to customer issues while working independently.
Communicates with customer, project team and vendors in a timely manner while working independently. Updating appropriate ticket system by either using the Problem Severity Matrix Standards or Request Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Is familiar with and follows the Change Management processes, working independently while mentoring/assisting others.
Coordinates program and/or data moves from development to test/education and production regions working independently, setting the standards for others to follow.
Defining business/maintenance problems or changes and developing conceptual solutions to solve these, working independently, while mentoring/assisting others.
Develops detailed, accurate, complete, cost-effective and resource-conservative design solutions that cleanly integrate with existing products and provide an easy path for future enhancements, by examining all possible courses of action and displaying sound logic and reasoning to arrive at an optimum solution, working independently, while mentoring/assisting others
Shares work experiences and expertise with others while mentoring/assisting others.
Strives to improve business knowledge working independently, while mentoring/assisting others.
Strives to improve technical knowledge with little or no supervision.
Provide technical guidance and/or business knowledge and direction to project team members working independently, while mentoring/assisting others
