Texas Health Resources is accepting candidates for RN, Program Manager Patient Safety/Risk Management.


Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare related field
5 years clinical experience, 3-5 years risk or patient safety experience
Risk management skills, presentation skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong Microsoft Office skills
Knowledge of Adverse Event Reporting System(SALT).


Provides upon specific entity or system services request risk management services that assist in the development and implementation of the THR Risk Management program and the individualization of the program to the unique risk management needs of the of the requesting entity or system services.
The risk management program shall include the risk techniques of identification, analysis, planning and implementation and shall focus on events which result in adverse risk or a compromise to patient and environmental safety, regulatory compliance, education and effective communication.
Remain current on SALT steering committee developments to effectively assist and implement identified changes.
Ability to mentor and guide entity risk managers and their staff in effective risk management activities.
Ensure appropriate SALT management and investigation as requested by the designated entity.
Provide orientation and direction as needed for assigned and requested projects.
Develop, facilitate and support the performance of selected system or designated entity risk projects and /or activities to be applicable to each of the system entities through development of evidence based risk management practices, education tools, protocols, reports, measurement tools, etc.
Review requests for services from entity or system services with Director of Risk Management and agreed on task to be performed and expected work product.
Perform auditing of records, risk management assessments, RCA preparation, development of reports and presentations, continued development and refinement of adverse event report tool
