- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to read financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Effective PC skills.

- Maintain the Charge Description Master to be in compliance with Center for Medicare and Medicaid billing rules and regulations
- Maintain the Charge Description Master to be in compliance with third party contractual agreements billing rules and regulations.
- Maintain and perform necessary changes and data entry in CPSI as needed by the hospitals and CBO.
- Assist the CBO personnel with billing rules and regulations to include CPT code, Revenue Code, HCPCS code use, and Uniform Billing form thus decreasing bill hold.
- Maintain a working knowledge of past, current and future Center for Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations including familiarity with CMS web site, manuals, transmittals and Federal Register announcements pertaining to upcoming CMS rule changes.
- Obtain data from CPSI to assist the CBO and hospitals in analysis of services.
- Participate and be an active member of the Compliance Committee for Harris Southlake Center for Surgery and Diagnostics and Plano Center for Surgery and Diagnostics.
- Assists coders at the hospitals with documentation to support coding decisions as necessary
- Oversee the 3M product including contract maintenance and troubleshooting problems
- Gather and analyze data as assigned to facilitate compliant growth and development of the CBO and hospitals
- Assists directors of clinical departments at hospital with charge questions and pricing data for existing and new services they may render
- Assure all hospital CDMís (Southlake, Plano, Rockwall, Flower Mound) are in line with the charge rates
- Develop and implement annual CDM updates in the CDM in conjunction with annual CMS rule changes (CPT, Billing), including memorandum to facilities on changes
- Assist the hospitals with complex billing situations in order to maintain complaint billing and assure that charges are entered correctly so claims are clean
- Explanations to billers and hospital personnel on billing rules and charging rules to maintain compliance
- Update all hospital CDMís with THR mandated charge rate changes as necessary
- Assure all hospital (Southlake, Plano, Rockwall, Flower Mound and TIS) THCIC patient data is sent, corrected and certified within the time frame set by the Texas Department of State Health Services
- Obtain all patient claim data in 837i format from billing company (MED assets) load data into the Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Councilís data quality analyzer (DQA), correct all downloaded errors, and data to the DFWHC for their analysis of data and assure this data is forwarded correctly and completely to THCIC according to THCIC deadlines
- Additional job duties as needed.
