Qualifications:/Duties
The Event Coordinator is responsible for administrative leadership and support of assigned Foundation Events. This includes volunteer management, as well as planning, logistics, and budget creation and oversight. The Event Coordinator will assist in the recruitment/training of volunteer leaders, and will serve as a resource and provide guidance to community volunteer leaders regarding key decisions necessary during the planning and execution of the event. The Coordinator will take primary responsibility for setting budget and event revenue goals, will solicit selected event donors, communicate event details to prospective attendees, and positioning the event to the community. It is anticipated that a Coordinator will manage multiple events over the course of the year. This position offices in Arlington.

Qualifications/Reporting:
Required Minimum Education: High School diploma
Required Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years direct experience in non-profit fund raising or marketing field; meeting organization and execution; preference for direct fund solicitation; volunteer management experience.
Required license/certification: None
Required skills (if applicable): Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications; experience and competence with Raiserís edge database desired; highly organized; ability to manage and lead community volunteers and supports their needs; detail oriented.

Individual Job Responsibilities:
1) Planning and Budgeting -- The Coordinator provides direct leadership in the planning and budgeting for assigned events. Planning includes interactions with Foundation leadership and hospital leadership. When planning is complete, the Coordinator is responsible for working with all external parties required to execute the event. The Coordinator is responsible for tracking budget compliance and maintaining all records regarding revenues/expenditures related to the event.
2) Volunteer Management -- Community volunteers provide the manpower to execute Foundation events, and the Coordinator will drive the volunteer recruitment and training process. The Coordinator will assist with all facets of event committee work and attend all committee meetings. That assistance will take the form of agenda generation, underwriting support, administrative oversight. Supporting volunteer leaders will often require one-on-one meetings with event chairs/co-chairs.
3) Data Management -- The Coordinator will ensure that special event activities are accurately documented in the donor database, and will create spreadsheets for committee correspondence, underwriting solicitation, and auction solicitation.
