Full-Time 7:00am to 3:00pm Position provides clinical support to staff of Registered Dietitians (RD). Conducts nutrition screening of all patients according to Dept. parameters, collects pertinent patient data, provides basic diet education to patients, conducts appropriate community education programs and assists with health fairs, calculates calorie count information and forwards to Registered Dietitians.
Qualifications: Associates degree from an accredited Dietetic Technician program or a Bachelors Degree in Food and Nutrition. Registered Dietetic Technician preferred. Membership in The American Dietetic Association preferred. Must hold valid NYS driver's license. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Close attention to detail in completion of daily work. Commitment to learning and providing excellent patient care required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Meditech experience preferred.
