Provides basic, direct resident care under the direction and guidance of a licensed nurse. All care is provided in compliance with and according to nursing home policies/procedures and standards of care.
High school diploma or GED required. New York State Nursing Assistant certification (may be in lieu of high school diploma or GED when accompanied by significant work experience. Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a nursing home/geriatric facility preferred. Employees are required obtain BLS certification within one year of the date of hire.
