Role Summary/Purpose The Assistant Medical Director position will be part of a group of field based regionally focused medical professionals providing medical and scientific support to both internal and external customers and respond to information enquiries, address drug safety issues, provide scientific presentations and address medical needs within the respective geography.
Essential Responsibilities The Assistant Medical Director will provide support to the Northeast Region commercial activities, research, marketing, and safety issues within the Region consistent with legal and regulatory requirements. They will have responsibility of acting as a medical expert for one or more of the company’s key products and will have established their reputation outside of their region through cross functional collaboration. They will be recognized as a key partner to their commercial colleagues and seen as adding medical value to the business. Key Responsibilities include:
·Approval of promotional and other materials in accordance with appropriate regulations, as requested.
·Preparation and delivery of training materials to support internal customer needs as well as continuing training and support of the existing staff on emerging and marketed products and clinical evidence.
·Key role in presenting business case and key clinical evidence to local and regional meetings of key referral groups.
·Providing an additional and important contact point for relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and organizations, especially in the Radiology, Cardiology, Neurology and Urology specialties.
·Involved in the dissemination of clinical paper summaries and disease area information.
·Participation at scientific meetings as requested.
·Provide medical leadership to the commercial, marketing, and R&D organizations
Qualifications/Requirements This position is open to external and internal candidates.
*A post-graduate clinical degree and licensed within their respective specialty (e.g. PharmD, PA, NP, PhD) with a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in respects to medical or pharmaceutical industries.
*Must be willing to support the central United States region and travel extensively within the Northeast region and the US (minimum of 30%), based on needs of the business.
*Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
*Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background investigation, including for example, verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background. Must submit application for employment through gecareers.com to be considered
