Media Manager

# Essential Responsibilities Responsible for the day-to-day management of Digital Media on shared servers.
# Ingest feeds, transfer file tape and set up protection and private files in media manager.
# Also responsible for maintaining and purging of the system.
# Oversee media pushed into Airspeed. Point person for HFR's.
# Also must be able to attend to the needs of the Avid Unity system and provide instruction of system use to Editors, Producers, and other technical engineers.
# Must be able to write technical Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
# Must have a working knowledge of the post-production process from media acquisition to playback for air.
# Should also be knowledgeable in basic computer networking and operation.
# Qualifications/Requirements Media Manager should possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
# 5 years of broadcast operations experience including familiarity with/use of Avid Editing software,
# Avid Media Manager software (administrative), an understanding of SD and HD broadcast signals as well as Dolby 5.1 audio, Grass Valley Profile system, SGL software for archiving, strong knowledge of digital media file formats, such as PSD, TGA, WMV, WAY, etc.
# Excellent communications skills a must.
# Flexible schedule a must.

# Desired Characteristics Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Information Technology or Media Management.
# Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, as well as other digital production software such as Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, and After effects.
# Strong interpersonal skills
# Be a team player.
# Ability to quickly understand and size up opportunity and/or problems and respond with creative ideas and solutions.
# Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully manage multiple assignments concurrently.
# Make priority decisions under deadlines.
