Operations Manager

Role Summary/Purpose The Operations Manager will supervise and coordinate activities of the team engaged in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of a 1x1 265MW Frame 7FA gas turbine power generation facility in the Rumford, ME.
Essential Responsibilities
* Develop operational objectives consistent with achieving maximum plant efficiency to meet customer requirements in the most safe, reliable, economical and environmentally safe manner
* Responsible for the development, implementation and execution of the site's operating and emergency procedures
* Provide administration, training and support for plant use of plant performance monitoring systems
* Responsible for the control and upkeep of all technical documents, including instruction books, P&ID's, elementary diagrams and site layout
* Develop reporting and trending tools and processes to support internal customer needs
* Support technical inquires as required from customer and regulatory agencies
* Assist in implementation of safety and environmental programs including overseeing proper operation of the plant in accordance with site permits and licenses
* Assist in the development and execution of outage work, reporting, development and implementation of maintenance programs
* Assist as required in daily operations to diagnose and resolve system-operating problems
* Initiate & implement required modification and retrofit projects
Qualifications/Requirements
* BA / BS degree or a minimum of five years power plant experience
* Minimum two years of prior management / supervisory experience

* Possess a valid driver's license
* Willing to submit to a physical, respirator and hearing screening upon hire
* Ability to to stand/walk for up to 8 hours continuously
* Ability to climb ladders and stairs
* Ability and willingness to wear all required personnel protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, latex/rubber/leather gloves, safety shoes and respirator) as needed

* Ability to coach and mentor the operations staff
* Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
