Senior Technician - Water & Process Technologies Pilot Plant

Role Summary/Purpose Senior Technician will be part of a dynamic Pilot Plant team who will contribute to the team's success through effective management of standard operating procedures for handling all plant operations and assigned tasks. The Senior Technician will display a total commitment to safety and compliance with all industry regulations.
Essential Responsibilities * Hands on involvement with plant operations and process control systems including set up and operation of pilot scale process equipment
* Operational team member involved in pilot scale development work including chemical material handling and warehousing
* Collecting and organizing process data and perform defined data processing methods, including reporting and presentation of results
* Responsible for plant and equipment up keep and assisting with mechanical maintenance
Qualifications/Requirements * High school diploma, G.E.D. or international equivalent
* At least one year of industrial and/or mechanical experience

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:
* Functional computer skills using Microsoft Office software
* Be 18 years of age or older
* Willing to submit to a background investigation (Motor vehicle record, criminal, education and prior employment), physical evaluation and drug screen

Desired Characteristics * At least 3 years of industrial experience in pharmaceutical or specialty chemicals plant operations
* Familiarity with handling hazardous, reactive chemicals
* Familiarity with Industrial Safety Procedures including Lock-out/Tag-Out, Hot Work, Confined Space Entry, DOT/IATA Hazmat guidelines and use of personal protective equipment
* Familiarity with ISO 9000 Quality Assurance System regarding instrumentation calibrations
* Strong problem solving skills
* Ability to handle multiple, diverse and changing responsibilities and following complex instructions
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Detail oriented, organized and self-motivated with ability to work independently
