Chemicals Product Support - Quality Technical Advisor

Role Summary/Purpose The Quality Technical Advisor will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities ∑ Maintain the quality system as established by the Quality System Manual, audit the quality system for effectiveness
∑ Assist in the development of manufacturing department targets, goals, and quality cost data
∑ Assist in vendor and customer survey and surveillance programs
∑ Provide administration and leadership in the department quality audits and corrective action programs
∑ Establish individual audits and prepare and maintain manufacturing audits
∑ Assign, assist, and perform the periodic audits and reporting
∑ Follow-up and assist in the corrective action programs
∑ Take active role in customer oriented quality system audits and surveys
∑ Administer follow-up and corrective action plans
∑ Administer the configuration management system
∑ Develop new concepts, ideas, and methods to improve activity and take initiative on items within sphere of activity
∑ Implement related Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs and procedures to ensure compliance, including EHS training, compliance audits and safety committee
Qualifications/Requirements ∑ Bachelorís degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / G.E.D. with at least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing field)
∑ At least 3 additional years of experience in Quality System programs and Quality Engineering functions or in a Manufacturing Quality role maintaining Quality System programs and performing Quality Engineering functions

∑ Six Sigma training
∑ Corporate program graduate (GE employees only)
∑ Knowledge of ISO standards, quality procedures and audit techniques
∑ Knowledge of Quality Control concepts and their application
∑ Strong oral and written communication skills

∑ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
