Analyst/Developer 1

Position Description

Provide information technology systems design, development, analysis, and testing, or integration encompassing a number of information technology disciplines. Apply in-depth knowledge and expertise in more than one of the following or related areas: systems analysis, software development and maintenance, database administration, data management, computer systems programming, delivery systems administration, telecommunications and network technology, and computing systems integration. Develop & implement projects using Information Technology (IT) common processes that follow CMMI. Support development and delivery of the Apache Longbow Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM). Support development and maintenance of system documentation. Participate in peer-group reviews of designs, code, and documentation.

Typical Education/Experience

Technical bachelor's degree. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Other Job related information

Requires experience with Windows XP or equivalent operating system computing networks; and flexible schedule for occasional late night and weekend testing of new releases. Working knowledge of relational databases (i.e., Oracle, Access, FoxPro, SQL Server, etc), information technology competence (including office tools), and the ability to perform engineering analysis to support design requirements. Prefer programming skills in any of the following: Java, C++, .NET (including ASP and C#), Visual Basic and Perl. Minimal travel (maybe 1 trip per year). Relocation is NOT available.
