Position Description

Assists with activities to design, develop and maintain databases. Performs database backup and recovery, database migration and archiving systems and procedures. Assists with implementation of database security infrastructure and creates and maintains user access accounts. Participates in hardware and software implementations. Installs and tests software upgrades and patches. Monitors database performance trends to identify anomalies or errors.

General knowledge of database tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager & Grid Control, Quest TOAD, Symantec Indepth, Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Manager).

[ + ] Database Sys Design & Support

General knowledge of Database Management Systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL-Server, etc.), database tools (e.g., SQL, SQL-Forms, SQL-Designer, etc.), database architecture (schemas, triggers, performance tuning, etc.), design, development & administration.

Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information

Prefer candidate with Oracle and SQL knowledge. MANDATORY Requirements for this position include a TOP SECRET/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with a current SSBI. This position is contingent upon program/customer approval of this security clearence. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation, may be required to pass a polygraph, and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicants MUST include their Security Clearance Level, Investigation Type and Investigation Date clearly on their resume.
