Chef Manager

Unit Description: Sodexo is seeking a hands on Chef Manager responsible for front and back of the house operations at a corporate services account. This position will oversee preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storing food. Responsible for purchasing food using an online ordering system, maintaining kitchen and storage facilities, training, and cash management. Will interact with client/customers on a regular basis. Reports to GM. The ideal candidate will have culinary management experience, a culinary degree and experience in training and leading a culinary staff. Experience with opening new account preferred. Building populations of 950. Very few evening and weekends for the most part it is a M-F 6am - 4pm position. A passion for catering creativity would be ideal. This account is used to high culinary customer service. Hands On position. Great position for an individual with culinary experience and seeking a super location to showcase their talent. It is required that you have a drivers license to perform other job functions of this position.
Job Description:

Position Summary: Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning,
garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food.
May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for
maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible
for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. This
position is the leader for an account/unit chef/production group. This position
is in smaller accounts/units where there is not a Chef or Food Production
Manager. Reports to GM. Basic Education Requirement: Technical, Trade, or
Vocational School Degree Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 1
year of lead/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience
Required: 1 years work experience in food or culinary services including
restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall
food courts, etc. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each
year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a
high-school diploma or GED.
