Manager - Conference Services

Unit Description: This conference services manager will be responsible for the supervision of the complete meeting room process from reservations to meeting room set ups and requires a high priority on attention to detail and customer service. The ideal candidate will be experienced in event planning; Meeting room management; Possess supervisory skills and be able to adapt to a corporate environment; Be responsible for all conference floor operations; Oversee and direct performance associated with the set up and service of all meetings and food functions; Promote communication and efficient working relationship with all other departments to ensure maximum customer satisfaction; Meets with meeting planners, client contacts to obtain all information needed to provide the highest quality of service; Coordinates and communicates group needs and requests to other department managers; Interacts with on-site meeting planner/facilitator to assure needs of group are favorably responded to and insures post-conference follow up; Develops and maintains systems and procedures to ensure the department is delivering the highest quality of services. This position is located in a corporate facility located in Washington, DC with 25,000 square feet of meeting space dedicated to internal clients only. THIS IS NOT A CATERING MGR POSITION.
Job Description:

"Position Summary: Overall day-to-day responsibility for provision of food
services within a conference center. Also coordinates scheduling and set-up of
conference rooms. Serves as liaison to catering managers. Basic Education
Requirement: High School Diploma or GED Basic Management/Supervisory Experience
Required: None Basic Functional Experience Required: 1 year of work experience
in service industry You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each
year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a
high-school diploma or GED.
