Special Event Planner

Unit Description: Sodexo is seeking a Part-Time, 20 hour a week, Special Events Planner for a newly created position to market and plan events for a brand new state-of-the-art conference center. Looking for someone with experience in event planning and marketing. Selected candidate will need to be willing and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and some holidays to build presence in the community and relationships with area organizations; i.e., potential customers.
Job Description:

Position Summary:Oversees the planning and execution of logistics for meetings
and special events. Manages facility selection, contract negotiations, food and
beverage selections, and arrangements for audio/visual service, transportation,
etc.
