The Mountbatten Institute provides one-year paid internships in London, United Kingdom for recent graduates and young professionals from across the United States. Sponsor Companies range from large multinationals organizations to small businesses and reflect different fields. Positions are mainly finance/business based, but also include roles in accounting, human resources, marketing and communications, IT, and law. The internships offer practical experience through participation and training in business.
In conjunction with the full-time internship, interns pursue a postgraduate qualification awarded by St Mary's University College, London. Interns choose either:
1. POSTGRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS PRACTICE
(12 months in London)
or,
2. MBA IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS PRACTICE
(12 months in London, plus an additional 4 months in Bangkok, Thailand)
The postgraduate qualification places the interns' experience in context by allowing them to draw upon, integrate, and apply their academic studies to the practical experience of their internship.
For those interns who choose to pursue the MBA option in London, the degree is completed through an intensive semester of academic study in Bangkok, Thailand. Here the intern is asked to take an international perspective and understand the ways in which business or industry operates within a global economy.
In London, all interns receive a monthly living allowance, plus furnished accommodation (provided at no additional cost). Housing is also provided as part of the semester in Bangkok.
There are two start dates each year - March & August.
