NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST (39334)

Since 1986, the CTN has helped young and middle-aged adults with brain injury to become independent in the home and resume a productive lifestyle. With an emphasis on cognitive retraining, this rehabilitation program returns a majority of its patients to school or work. The program is unique in establishing a therapeutic milieu, promoting a holistic approach to treating patients. Our interdisciplinary treatment team addresses the cognitive, language, physical, and neuropsychological needs of the patient. Both individual and group therapies are essential to successfully returning to the role of a contributing member of society. We also seek to help patients reestablish satisfying relationships with their family and friends. The treatment team works closely with the family to form a positive working alliance, providing emotional support, and educating them about the patient’s strengths and limitations.

Presently we are seeking a mid-career clinical Neuropsychologist to assist in the neuropsychological assessment of patients, psychotherapy, and patient and family group facilitation.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology with the equivalent of a 2-year residency program in Clinical Neuropsychology.

Candidate must be licensed by the State of Arizona and meet all requirements for obtaining hospital privileges. Board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology is highly desirable.

In addition, the individual must have demonstrated research skills and be capable of conducting clinical research projects on a variety of neuropsychological topics relevant to the assessment and rehabilitation process. The candidate will be expected to work effectively with physicians as well as fellow psychologists, the patients, and family members. Finally, the candidate will be expected to participate in the teaching of postdoctoral residents in clinical neuropsychology and guiding their research activities.

Compensation is dependent on demonstrated level of competency, years of experience, and academic achievements.
