CIA University (CIAU) is looking for innovative instructors with proven expertise and creativity in designing leadership instruction for online, face-to-face, and blended learning environments, including for a Learning Content Management System such as Moodle.

You will design training programs used by CIA leaders at all levels serving worldwide. Your work can help to improve the knowledge and skills of officers who carry out extraordinary tasks in service to our nation. You will work with subject matter experts in such topic as proliferation, terrorism and complex financial systems; and you will draw on resources and talents of our graphic designers, multimedia developers, and video team.

We offer a creative atmosphere in which to work, professional development opportunities, and flexible working schedules. You will take the lead on projects and collaborate with subject-matter experts, other instructional designers, and members of the production team. You will serve as a consultant and adviser to CIAU faculty about the effective integration of technology in teaching and learning.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, or related field with a concentration in instructional design, and you should have at least three years’ work experience in instructional development. Successful candidates will have a deep practical and theoretical knowledge about designing instruction for adults, and they will possess a keen recognition of the benefits that technology offers in enabling and supporting learning. They will have a passion for the field of learning and dedication to keeping up with innovations, research, theories, technologies, and trends in the field.

All applicants must successfully complete a thorough medical and psychological exam, a polygraph interview and an extensive background investigation. US citizenship is required. To be considered suitable for Agency employment, applicants must generally not have used illegal drugs within the last twelve months. The issue of illegal drug use prior to twelve months ago is carefully evaluated during the medical and security processing.
