Anesthesia Technician - Certified

Full-Time 2:30p - 11p Evenings

The Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) is responsible for assisting the licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. The Anesthesia Technician provides this service by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies before, during and after anesthesia. The Certified Anesthesia Tech is expected to demonstrate practical knowledge in general areas of anesthesia and all general areas involved in the support of anesthesia. This position will require call and off-shift coverage as required by the departmental guidelines.

Qualifications:

· High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) certificate
· Successful completion of the examination requirements established by the ASATT for Anesthesia Technician certification
· Minimum of two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician is required
· Current BLS Certification
· Continuing education requirements for certification as required by ASATT
