Part Time Mon - Sat Varied Shifts

Demonstrates respect, regard, and compassion for the dignity and rights of all who interact with Wellmont. Maintains confidentiality in all matters related to the patient and hospice concerns. Consistently remains calm and applies sound judgment during stressful situations. Assumes responsibility for own actions. Presents self positively through appearance and actions. Demonstrates competence in services provided. Adheres to all WHS policies, maintains all annual/periodic requirements of WHS, and other requirements of credentialing bodies. Enhances community health by striving to be a role model of healthy lifestyles and by being a healthful resource to others. Takes responsibility for their role in the operational excellence within their department by ensuring the delivery of quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, professional standards, and customer needs. Consistently anticipates the needs of the customer by demonstrating initiative, flexibility, appropriate risk taking, and sound judgment. Services of the home aide may include, but are not limited to: assisting the patient with activates of daily living, ambulation and prescribed exercise; other special duties with appropriate training and demonstrated competency; assisting with oral care or topical medications that the patient can normally self-administer; taking an recording vital signs as indicated in the plan of care; measuring and recording fluid intake and output; recording and reporting to the health care professional changes in the patient's physical condition, behavior, or appearance; documenting services and observations in the medical record and performing and other duties that he attendant is qualified to do by additional training and demonstrated competency, within state guidelines. Maintain at least 16 hours of in-service education annually.

High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Certificate (GED or HISET) or confirmation of three years of experience in hospital/medical setting.Able to speak, read and write in English. Satisfactory competition of a nurse aide educational program.

Certification as a nurse aide issued by the Board of nursing in Tennessee and Virginia.

CPR is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.
