<FONT face=Arial> <DIV>This position demonstrates expertise in the area of breastfeeding, infant care, and childbirth education. Organizes and provides assessment, intervention, and education to patients based on individual nursing care needs.</DIV> <UL> <LI>Conducts inpatient rounds to educate and assess lactation needs of mothers/infants.</LI> <LI>Facilitates Clinic to ensure achievement of desire patient outcomes for mothers and infants.</LI> <LI>Clearly communicates, both orally and in writing, to foster staff and patient understanding of treatment plan.</LI> <LI>Sensitive to the patient's needs such as physical, spiritual, and emotional and evaluates response to the delivery of care.</LI> <LI>Delivers prenatal education to ensure that mothers/infants are prepared for childbirth and parenting.</LI> <LI>Effectively manages department/patient activities in a time efficient manner to ensure the delivery of care is well-organized and proficient.</LI> <LI>Provides quality customer service to patients, families, coworkers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment.</LI> <LI>Supports and promotes departmental/organizational priorities.</LI></UL> <DIV><EM>The information above is for summary purposes, and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of essential functions.</EM></DIV><!--{PS..0}--></FONT><FONT face=Arial> <UL> <LI>High School diploma or equivalent, required </LI> <LI>Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, required </LI> <LI>Valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of practice, required </LI> <LI>Possess a current Basic Life Support Certification, required </LI> <LI>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, required </LI> <LI>Certification through the IBLCE (International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners), required</LI> <LI>One (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department, preferred </LI></UL><!--{PS..0}--></FONT> <img src="https://www.applytracking.com/track.aspx/gJ1zO"/>
