Pavilion Coordinator - Clatanoff - PT D/N

Supervises designated groups of staff and ensures coordination of all services, patient flow process, effective utilization of human and material resources, and ensures the provision of high, quality patient-centered nursing care. Performs designated managerial responsibilities and facilitates specified services to provide cost effective health care to women and children. Provides supervisory direction for problem solving in nursing in the absence of the departments' clinical director. Individual will provide direct and indirect patient care and may have to rotate shifts within a 24 hour period.

Directs hospital operations on assigned shifts by maintaining effective working relationships with and between departments.

Effectively implements the nursing process based on the staff nurse job description to provide care to patients. Demonstrates competency to provide age related care specific to the patient population of the initiative.

Participates in compliance and implements AAMC policies.

Acts as a role model to support the mission and vision. of AAMC through behaviors that foster professionalism, empowerment, team work, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Directs patient care delivery of all nursing units by utilizing supervisory and leadership skills.

Interacts with inter/intra departmental levels to ensure effective communication and information Sharing.

Assesses learning needs on a continual basis and develops goals that reflect the corporate values.

Ensures fair distribution of work load throughout Clatanoff and ensures established staffing levels.

Functions as a Clatanoff non-physician leader in all emergencies and as point person for all non-medical emergencies ( i.e. power outages, disasters).

Acts as a liaison between Women and Children's services, medical staff, ancillary and internal/external support services to facilitate ongoing problem resolutions and assist with resolving interdepartmental conflict within the Clatanoff.

Communicates with clinical directors any personnel issues that need further intervention.

Required: Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred or health related field. Three years active nursing experience in an acute care setting with one year progressive charge-supervisor responsibilities. ACLS,ACLS/OB preferred. Must be obtained within one year of accepting position. Maintains current skills validation as required by the department of nursing. Demonstrates the knowledge ad principles of growth and development over the lifespan. Maintains current knowledge of maternal/child health standards. Member of a professional organization.
