Solid Tumor Program Coordinator

Full-Time Days
The Solid Tumor Program Nurse Coordinator will work to enhance the Solid Tumor Program through program infrastructure development, research and aid in the care of patients of all ages diagnosed, treated or referred with a solid tumor malignancy at Cook Children's Medical Center. The Goal of this position is to improve care by advocating for patients and families by navigating multidisciplinary services necessary for the best comprehensive treatment. The Nurse Coordinator will serve as a liaison and resource expert on the solid tumor disease process and provide education to patients, families, staff and the community. This position requires strong clinical expertise, interpersonal skills and leadership skills. The Nurse Coordinator needs to be an effective communicator, motivated and an independent thinker with the ability to collaborate within a team environment.

Qualifications:

· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
· Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
· BSN required
· Previous RN experience in Oncology is strongly preferred
· BLS and PALS required
