<div data-field="responsibilities" class="jd-responsibilities"><strong>Responsibilities</strong><p />Assume the accountability, coordination, management and delivering of patient care in an Integrated Clinic (Radiation Oncology/Brachy). Major functions include but not limited to: Functioning as the point of contact for an individual service-line and working closely with team physician and other members; assisting management with clinic scheduling and procedure room needs and daily flow; promoting quality and cost-effective patient care, including patient assessment, treatment, education and coordination; Providing guidance to hospital assistants, residents or students with patient care needs; preparing room or equipment set- up for patients undergoing procedures; Assisting physicians with procedures, including conscious or general anesthesia; Providing pre, intra and post procedure patient care; Providing clinical (radiation therapy, brachytherapy) coverage at the Westwood clinic and Santa Monica clinics. Other duties as assigned. Under direct supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Nurse Specialist-Supervisor, the primary responsibilities of the clinical nurse include the direct nursing care of patients utilizing the nursing process; development and application of leadership, management, and communication concepts; teaching of patients and staff; maintenance of professional standards.
<BR></div><div data-field="qualifications" class="jd-qualifications"><strong>Qualifications</strong><p />Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis. <BR>Writing skills to document accurately interventions and patient response. <BR>Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff.<BR> Knowledge of POMR charting. <BR>Skill in setting priorities, organizing workload to effectively administer direct patient care. <BR>Skill in speaking English clearly and distinctly to interpret and describe patient assessments and identify nursing interventions and direct staff. <BR>Ability to work effectively with stress and in crisis situations <BR>Ability to comply with departmental standards on punctuality, attendance, dress code and varied work schedules.<BR>Knowledge and practice in the proper use of safe body mechanics.<BR>BSN required BLS/ACLS required <BR>PALS preferred Oncology Experience preferred <BR>Ambulatory, ICU or procedural experience preferred<BR>Able to conduct PTU/PACU work process. <BR></div><IMG SRC="https://bs.serving-sys.com/serving/adServer.bs?cn=display&c=19&mc=imp&pli=22545718&PluID=0&ord=[timestamp]&rtu=-1" border="0" width="1" height="1" alt="Advertisement">
