Staff Accountant I

Staff Accountant for the Financial Reporting Department located in Parsippany in the Controller’s Organization of Simon & Schuster.

Position's role is SOX control, review, testing and compliance in order for Simon & Schuster to meet CBS, PWC and SEC SOX requirements. Role also performs account reconciliation, forecasting, and Balance Sheet Certification required by SOX and to facilitate Cash Flow reporting and budgeting.

BS in Accounting, CPA and/or MBA preferred
Superior PC and spreadsheet  data base skills.

1 to 4 years of accounting experience in industry or 1-2 years of public accounting experience SAP or comparable mainframe accounting system.

Hyperion Consolidation System experience a plus
