Centocor Ortho Biotech Services LLC., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for an Information Specialist, located in Horsham, PA.

The Information Specialist will be the front line point of contact responsible for the receipt and documentation of incoming phone calls, emails, faxes and medically related correspondence from external and internal customers contacting the Medical Information department. While utilizing appropriate information resources (i.e., approved medical responses, searchable literature databases, company study reports, etc.), provides timely, accurate, thorough and balanced responses to unsolicited requests for information from internal and external customers consistent with regulatory guidelines. The customer base includes health care professionals, consumers and company employees. Responsibilities also include the identification and documentation of adverse event and product quality complaints following departmental procedures. Provides written or verbal responses to customers requesting information regarding the company's marketed and/or investigational pharmaceutical products. Utilizes appropriate information resources to respond to medical information inquiries, documents inquiry and response in departmental database.Recognizes, obtains pertinent data and documents reported adverse events and product quality complaints following departmental procedures.Triage all incoming inquiries, determine priority and escalate complex medical inquiries appropriately to therapeutic teams or management.Keeps abreast of current scientific information regarding the company's marketed and investigational pharmaceutical products. Participates in periodic weekly schedule of 24-hour emergency medical information phone coverage.Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize assigned workload and to employ efficient time management strategies when performing medical information activities. Complete all company training requirements. Deliver excellent customer service in a diverse team environment. Participates in training of new hires within Medical Information Department, (including students, residents and temporary employees). This is not an exhaustive, comprehensive listing of job functions. May perform other duties as assigned.

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is preferred or a Pharm.D degree is preferred. BS-RN or BS-RPh with a minimum 2 years of clinical experience or at least 1 year of industry experience. PharmD will be considered with clinical experience. Associates Degree or RN with related industry experience will be considered if experience is applicable. A Licensed Health Care Professional is required - RN, RPh, PharmD. An active Pharmacy and/or Nursing license within at least one state is required. Bilingual skill-sets are preferred, i.e. Spanish. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Experience using MS Office and/or database tracking is preferred. Regular business hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You will be required to participate in a rotating "on-call" schedule for escalated calls.
