Jobs and Careers: Can You Just Say “No” In This Economy?

According to newly released information from the U.S. Department of Labor, the month of October saw 190,000 more jobs lost with a national unemployment rate of 10.2 percent.

We all know that it’s a pretty grim job market, but does that mean that if you are fortunate enough to get an interview—and better yet, an offer—that you would be foolish to turn it down?

I tell job seekers who are faced with this dilemma that they should consider several factors before making a decision to close the door. Here’s my checklist for saying NO:
