Hearin-Chandler Journalism Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Baldwin, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe, or Washington counties in Alabama, Escambia or Santa Rosa counties in Florida, or George or Jackson counties in Mississippi. Applicant must be enrolled or plan to enroll full-time in a regionally accredited college, attend a Foundation committee conference, and submit cover letter, transcript, and recommendation.

Amount Awarded: $5000

Deadline: March 9.

Eligibility: College freshmen for sophomore year. College juniors for senior year. College seniors/others for master's degree study. College sophomores for junior year. Doctoral students/others for postgraduate study. Graduate students/others for doctoral degree study. Students for freshmen year of college.
