Melva T. Owen Memorial Scholarship

All applicants must be legally blind and pursuing or planning to pursue a full-time postsecondary course of study. Scholarships are awarded on the basis on academic excellence, service to the community, and financial need.

Amount Awarded: $7000

Eligibility: Recipients of Federation scholarships need not be members of the National Federation of the Blind. There shall be no limitation as to field of study, except that it shall be directed towards attaining financial independence and shall exclude religion and those seeking only to further general or cultural education.
