Merck/AFAR Research Scholarship in Geriatric Pharmacology for Medical & Pharmacy Students

Awarded to give students the opportunity to undertake a two-to-three month full-time research project in geriatric pharmacology. Applicant must have at least one year of training, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and submit biographical sketch, research description, and letters of reference. Selection is based upon merit and feasibility of proposed research, qualifications of mentor, and applicant's ability, promise, and interest in gerontological issues (as demonstrated by academic performance, statement of purpose, references, course work, independent study, and volunteer activity).

Amount Awarded: $4000

Number Awarded: 9 each year.
