Specific major or program required

Eligibility: College freshmen for sophomore year; College juniors for senior year; College seniors/others for master's degree study; College sophomores for junior year; Students for freshmen year of college; Applicants from historically underrepresented Asian-American groups, including Southeast Asian, South Asian, Korean, Filipino, and Pacific Islander, are encouraged to apply. Applicant must be enrolled full time. Selection is based upon commitment to the field of journalism, sensitivity to Asian-American issues (as demonstrated by community involvement), journalistic and scholastic ability, and financial need.
