Women of Color Scholars Program

This program assists up to five United Methodist Church women of color candidates pursuing a PhD or ThD within the field of religious studies who also desire to serve on the faculty or in an executive administrative position at a United Methodist theological school.

Eligibility: Women of color candidates pursuing a PhD or ThD within the field of religious studies who also desire to serve on the faculty or in an executive administrative position at a United Methodist theological school. Applicants must have received a master of divinity degree and be enrolled full-time or have been accepted into a degree program by the time of the interviews (held in the spring of each year). Applicants must be active full members of the United Methodist Church for at lteast three years prior to application and must be born of African, Black, Asian, Hispanic or Native American parentage.
