The Campus Safety Health and Environmental Management Division offers a $2,000 scholarship to encourage the study of occupational safety.

Canadian National Scholarships for Women
This scholarship is available to female students who intend to pursue careers in trades, technology, operations, and blue collar work. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in welding, heavy duty diesel mechanics, engineering technology, or precision machining. Applicants may either continuing their education or re-entering the program as a mature student.

Candy McConnell Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a woman and a resident of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming. Applicant must submit proof of legal home residence and six copies of application, proof of membership in ACSM, a brief statement describing educational objectives, future plans of study or research, professional activities, and financial need, at least three letters of recommendation, and official transcript.

This scholarship is available to students attending a participating UNCF college or university. This program is available to MVA students at Florida A&M and sophomores and juniors enrolled at an historically black college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants must be majoring in business, finance, marketing, mass communications or journalism.

Center for Environmental Journalism UC Boulder Ted Scripps Environmental Fellowship
Named after the late Ted Scripps, the youngest grandson of E.W. Scripps, the one-year, non-degree academic fellowships blend classroom and field training to help environmental journalists broaden their professional skills. As many as five Fellows are funded each year, largely through a donation by Ted's daughter, Cindy Scripps Leising. The school's Center for Environmental Journalism, the first of its kind in the nation, was founded in 1992 under the direction of associate professor Len Ackland, who coordinates the program. The Fellows, selected in a national search, receive a stipend and participate in a wide range of economic, scientific, social and political courses to deepen their knowledge of environmental issues.

This scholarship is available to students attending a participating UNCF college or university. Chopin Piano Competition
Applicant must legally reside in the U.S., be between the ages 16 and 22, and must have demonstrated unusual musical ability but not yet have made extensive professional appearances. Award is designed to encourage highly talented students of piano to study and play the works of Chopin.

CIA Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students attending a participating UNCF college or university. Applicants must be nominated by the financial aid director at the college and must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, as well as unmet financial need. Applicants must complete the FAFSA. This scholarship is available to students majoring in sales management, finance or human resources.

Cody Bachman Scholarship
Applicant must be a lineal descendant of worthy Confederates or collateral descendant who is a member of the Children of the Confederacy or the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in an accredited college or university, and carry a minimum of 12 hours each semester. Applicant must be prepared to pass entrance examination of prospective college or university. Applicant must submit proof of Confederate Military Record, line of descent from Confederate ancestor, a letter of endorsement from sponsoring Chapter, a letter of recommendation, complete financial report, official transcripts, an essay on the significance of a southern heritage, and a wallet-size photo. Original and four copies of the application forms and five copies of all documents, certificates, and letters must be submitted to the Division Director of Education. All inquiries must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Applicant must be sponsored by a Rural Health Professional Shortage Area in Texas and be a resident of that area and have not defaulted or owe a refund on any state or federal aid. Medical students must be in their third or fourth year and be studying a primary care specialty (family practice, general internal medicine, general pediatrics, general obstetrics/gynecology). Interview with sponsor, essay (300-word maximum), three letters of recommendation, and community statement of need required. Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals
The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals is a scholarship program with a strong focus on cultural exchange. It is designed to give participants understanding for everyday life, education, and professional training in Germany. In the US the program is funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the Department of State under the authority of the Fulbright-Hays Act of 1961. In Germany the program is funded through the Administration of the Bundestag.

Continuing Student Departmental Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a continuing undergraduate student who has declared a major and is nominated by the department.
Deadline: February 1 to March 30 (each department sets its own deadline).

Craft Training Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled or enrolling full time in a craft-training program approved by the Bureau of Apprenticeship Training or Post-Secondary Education Commission and submit application, training program description including cost, list of extracurricular activities, and resume.

Crawford T. and Virginia Johnson Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a resident of the Birmingham, Ala. metropolitan area, have completed at least 48 semester hours, and have a minimum 3.5 GPA.
Deadline: February 1.

CSDIW Scholarship
Applicant must be a certified Native American tribal member with a minimum 3.0 GPA who plans to work on a reservation in the field of education or social service. Selection is based upon academic ability and commitment to the study of education or social service. Financial need is considered.
Number Awarded: 1 each year.
Deadline: June 15.

CSX Corporation Scholars Program
This scholarship is available to students attending a participating UNCF college or university. Applicants must be nominated by the financial aid director at the college and must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, as well as unmet financial need. Applicants must complete the FAFSA. This scholarship is available to students attending UNCF and targeted historically black colleges and universities. The program was designed to enhance educational and career opportunities for exceptional minority students pursuing degrees with an environmental emphasis.

Culinary Arts/Nutrition/Physical Education Scholarship
Applicant must be an African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, or Latino/Hispanic, enrolled in an approved program at a California institution, and submit five copies of a personal statement, two recommendations, a 500- to 1,000-word essay, official transcripts, photo, and application. Undergraduate applicant must have 50 semester hours completed and a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Graduate applicants must have 12-15 units completed and a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
Number Awarded: 12 each year.
Deadline: March 30.

Cultural Aboriginal Youth Achievement Award One
This award is available to individual young men who have demonstrated an awareness, understanding and dedication to advancing Aboriginal cultures and languages.

Cultural Aboriginal Youth Achievement Award Two
This award is available to individual young women who have demonstrated an awareness, understanding and dedication to advancing Aboriginal cultures and languages.

Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship
Award is for three or six months of intensive language training abroad in one of the following languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, or Swedish. Applicant must be a citizen of a country in which there is a Rotary club, have completed at least two years of college course work or two years of post-secondary employment in a recognized vocation, have completed at least one year of college-level course work or its equivalent in proposed language of study, and submit essay, recommendations, club endorsement, transcripts, and language ability forms. Preference is given to disabled applicants. Rotarians, Honorary Rotarians, and employees of Rotary entities are not eligible; spouses, children/grandchildren, spouses of children/grandchildren, and parents/grandparents of living Rotarians/Honorary Rotarians/Rotary employees are not eligible.

Cymdeithas Gymreig Scholarship
Applicant must be of Welsh descent, participate in Welsh events, and reside or attend a school within 150 miles of Philadelphia. Applicant must attend the Philadelphia Gymarfu game for application and interview.
