DAAD-University of Chicago Summer Seminar Scholarship
Award is for seminar on the place of war in twentieth-century European history. Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada and have a research interest in nineteenth- and twentieth-century German and European history, the history of war and war crimes, and/or violence and representation.

Dog Writers' Educational Trust Scholarship
Applicant should rank in top third of class, must demonstrate involvement in dog-related activities, and must submit an essay on college and career goals, an essay on Why People Own Dogs, and transcripts. Selection is based upon dog-related activities, academic performance, financial need, and character. Applicants whose parents or other close relatives have been active as dog breeders, exhibitors, judges, or club officers are considered. A $25 application fee is required. Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, be a graduate of Benedictine High School in Richmond, Va., and be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours per semester). Entering freshman and transfer applicants should have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100. Returning student applicant should have a minimum 3.0 Quality Credit Average (QCA).
